Care Guide

We recommend washing your rain gear regularly relative to use to ensure extended performance.

Hand or machine wash in cool water with a detergent designed for outerwear. Avoid fabric softeners.

Hang dry or tumble dry low. Avoid excessive heat. Seam tape can fall apart in a dryer, and it is not a pretty sight.

I am now an older mountain biker and sad to say I no longer weigh 138 pounds, I have gained some weight. I am 60 years old 5'7" tall and now 145lb. I had a cycling rain jacket by O2 Rainwear just a cheap one I bought from Amazon years ago and it worked great, but now that I have gained some weight it is really tight in the waist and I know that I would not be able to zip it if I wanted to layer with some heavy clothes for winter riding. I have had the same issue with a Specialized and Pearl Izumi jackets. The Showers Pass jacked fits me like a normal jacket in the waist and there is still room to layer with heavier clothing under it, it feels comfortable to wear. I have not had a chance to use this in any rain but from reading other reviews I don't think that will be a problem. I also follow a YouTube’er Ryan Van Dusser who does bike packing and he wears a Showers Pass jacket in several of his videos but I do not know if it is the same model but it seems to work really well for him. The build quality looks good to me, the fit is great and I have a size small, I like the color (Firecracker Red) and the price was great. It fits in my hydration pack well and since I am in Arizona I can't wait to try it out, no there is no such thing as too much rain in AZ. I believe this jacket is going to work really good for me for several years.

Rain and snow are forcast for Tuesday's bicycle commute! Until now, I have been very impressed with the seam sealing and overall good looks and quality feel while cycling to and from the university (in the dark) and cycling long miles out on Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake with the bison! The Showers pass rain jacket is nice for walking to work, when it might rain.
Nice zipper, has pockets, has hood, and zipper below arm pits for circulation.

Today while taking the jacket off, I went to un-latch the velcro wrist adjustment, and the velcro seams came apart :(

They could have easily put a large back zip pocket on this jacket, but alas, it is labeled mtb...extremely waterproof, vents are acceptable. Definitely worth $60

I received the jacket very quickly. The overall quality is very good! All the seams are stitched well, the zippers are strong, and I like the vents that can be opened in the back. I am able to use fewer layers when riding my bike in the mornings when wearing this jacket. I am very satisfied.

I’m 6'4", 250 lbs, and the XXL isn’t a great fit for my build. It seems cut for a wider midsection rather than extra height. The sleeves run short, and the overall length feels a bit short as well, so tall riders may find it lacking.

That said, the jacket itself is very well made. The material holds up in both light showers and heavy downpours. The pocket layout is practical and easy to access, and the vents make it simple to cool down while riding. If you’re average height, I think the fit will work better, and you’ll get all the benefits of a solid rain jacket.

Great jacket for the price. Medium weight for a waterproof shell. Relatively breathable but also blocks wind well and stayed completely dry on the inside through some heavy rain. Wore this on a weeklong cycling trip and loved it. Comfortable fit on a bike and kept my upper body completely dry. Was good for colder mornings as a breathable windbreaker as well. Looks and fits great off the bike too.

I ordered this jacket in anticpation of the rainy season. It's the first Showers Pass product I have bought. I wore it to work today. It's comfortable and fits me well. I have not ridden my bike with it yet, but I expect it to do its job. It seems to be made well and I've received compliments on how food it looks and for the color. The pockets are generous and the vents are easy to get to. The zippers move smoothly.

Got fantastic advice on which jacket (and what size) to get from Evan in customer support over the phone. He thought this would be an upgrade from my Patagonia Torrentshell, and he was absolutely right: Not only is it great for biking in the rain, with all kinds of thoughtful little biking-specific features; it is actually a better general rain jacket than my old Torrentshell. It has become my go-to for wet weather whether I am on my bike or on foot. Highly recommended!

This purchase was given as a gIft. The recipient really liked all the features the jacket has.

It seems well made and the color is nice. The material feels quality. The On-sale price makes me feel I was a fair deal. The fit is slightly boxy rather than something more athletic. The venting is okay for low intensity like casual walks but isn’t great for much more. Being a little boxy helps a little by allowing for more anir I suppose. Ideally next version would be slightly more athletic cut and another vent at the rear.

Exchanged for the blue. Goldenrod great for my Showerspass biking jacket, but way too bright for hiking.
Also, XL was a little big; exchanged for L. Superb interactions from beginning to end with staff and web site.

Bright color offers great visibility for approaching motorists. Quality construction with zippers that don't catch on the adjacent fabric and get stuck. Good fit and adjustable cuffs. Very satisfied.

This is our second set of these jackets. They are perfect for more than just riding, we wear them in the woods while hiking as well.

This is a great jacket. I have just ordered a new one to replace the one I have used for five years. This would get a five except for the inner pockets are narrow, the hood needs a visor and it would be great if it had a breast zipper pocket. It's a five for keeping the rain out and generally looks good for casual outings. It has worn well. I used it often enough to wear out part of inner lining.

This was my first purchase from Showers Pass and I am very pleased. The Syncline rain jacket is high quality and the fit is perfect with room to layer underneath. I love the high visibility color and reflective trim. I have yet to wear it in the rain, however, I am confident it will perform well.

Very high quality. Reminds me of the old burley jackets you can't get any more. I'm 6'1" 285 and the 3x fits fine with enough room to layer under it. Love this jacket.

I'm always skeptical of rain jackets and how they'll fit and how they'll actually act in the rain. This one is outstanding: generous fit, nice features that secure the jacket while riding, and most importantly, I rode in a downpour and was dry when I finished. Plus the bright orange color makes me easy to spot. Great for the city, love it all around.

I love my new windbreaker. It's the perfect size and ideal for in-between weather conditions. The bright yellow color keeps me safer on my bike around town. Very comfortable though a bit odd with reverse zipper feature. I highly recommend it!
