Care Guide

We recommend washing your rain gear regularly relative to use to ensure extended performance.

Hand or machine wash in cool water with a detergent designed for outerwear. Avoid fabric softeners.

Hang dry or tumble dry low. Avoid excessive heat. Seam tape can fall apart in a dryer, and it is not a pretty sight.

You get what you pay for!!
While I haven’t experienced any real amount of precipitation in my area thus far… I have no doubt this jacket will handle it!
While I've had nothing but good experiences with my previous 15 year old rain jacket…. It was time for a new one; and Showere Pass is my “go to” rain gear… even though I live in northern Mn. I still like to be dry while I ride in inclement weather.
Thank SP!!

this is my second jacket and living in a tropical country, with sudden downpours is quite common. The Porlite, keeps me warm but not hot, dry inside and comfortable when the mountain rains come.

Having put this jacket through it's first major rain event (Colorado needs it) - the Refuge was great armor against the wet. I initially purchased the Large but it was tight - so think about your sizing and consider going up a size. That said Showers Pass customer service made the exchange super easy. I will be giving the jacket a real test in Ireland next month and glad to have it before the trip.

So far so good! I'm very happy with the sturdiness of this jacket, which has worked well on several quite cold days. I really like the large vents, which made a big difference when it warmed up a bit. Yet to test the waterproof qualities, but I'm already excited about the detachable hood.

I really like the jacket so far; have yet to use it in harsh conditions, so we'll see. My only complaint: the size (XXL) is so very different from my Showers Pass cycling jacket (also XXL). My cycling jacket fits almost too large, and the Refuge Jacket is actually a bit tight....so all Showers Pass items don't run true to size.

Love the jacket! The zipper is on the left, which is weird. But I can live with it.

It's great. My favorite jacket to ride in now. I'm 5'10" and 180lb with broad shoulders and L fits perfectly with or without a layer underneath. I love the color and the cut and how breathable it is. The hood is great and seems to get out of the way when cycling and I love that it's removable. This jacket had every feature I was looking for in an urban commuting cycling jacket and impressed me in a lot of other ways with its quality and well thought out touches.

Wonderful coat. Bought it just in time for the first (& exclusive so far) storm of this stormy season. Nicely tailored, beads water beautifully, and gives the wearer dignity in the face of adverse weather and offhand comments of being "crazy." Originally had thought to buy the goldenrod color, but it was soldout. The cayenne looks great, and I am not too concerned about any less visibility between cayenne and the goldenrod.

Fantastic! Had my first rain ride today, and the fit, breathability, and of corse rain resistance were perfect! I've needed a new jacket for some time and this one checks all the boxes!
