SHOWERS PASS INTRODUCES SECOND “CLEAN COLOR” JACKET MOVING TOWARD SUSTAINABILITY GOALS
Portland, Oregon - Showers Pass introduces its second jacket with “Clean Color” technology. Named after the beloved mountain biking trail in the Columbia Gorge, The Syncline CC jacket blends cycling-specific features into a versatile, ultralight rain jacket at an attractive price. This season it has been updated with Clean Color technology: a new manufacturing process that keeps harmful chemicals out of the environment.
"We’ve looked at the ways in which our supply chain impacts the environment and have identified several areas for improvement," says Marketing Director and Sustainability Coordinator Stephanie Leikas. "Our goal is to make a meaningful change to our environmental impact, without sacrificing the durability and high level of performance we demand from our products.”
Featuring Showers Pass’ Artex waterproof-breathable membrane and fully taped seams in a 2.5-layer hardshell package, the Syncline CC sheds rain and wind while allowing body heat to escape – and packs down to fit in a backpack, hip pack, or pannier. “The Syncline CC is all about bang for the buck,” says Jeremy Rider, PR Director for Showers Pass. “It’s a versatile jacket that is ready for cycling, hiking or camping - whatever way you play in the rain. We are proud to offer this caliber of jacket at an affordable price, and in a more environmentally-friendly way.”
The Syncline CC Jacket can be found at major retailers including REI and Mountain Equipment Co-op, as well as a network of independent bicycle dealers across the US, and online at www.showerspass.com.
