PACIFIC NORTHWEST-BASED SHOWERS PASS LAUNCHES VERSATILE TRANSIT “CLEAN COLOR” JACKET
Showers Pass Continues Innovating to Protect Against ALL Elements
Portland, Oregon - Showers Pass will launch its updated Transit CC jacket on Tuesday. This is the first significant update Showers Pass has made to the best-selling Transit Jacket in several years, and the first of their new “Clean Color” collection. Clean Color styles use the bluesign® system of approved dyes, keeping harmful chemicals out of the manufacturing process, protecting people and the planet. “This is one of the ways in which we’ve looked at the environmental impact of our manufacturing processes and identified an area for improvement,” says Stephanie Leikas-Homolya, Marketing Director for Showers Pass. “Sustainability is a big part of who we are as a brand, and we’ve committed to moving to exclusively bluesign® certified dyes for all our products by 2025.”
The new-and-improved Transit CC jacket is designed for versatility and constructed for durability. Featuring Showers Pass’ proprietary Artex™ waterproof-breathable membrane coupled with fully taped seams, it provides an effective barrier from the elements. The sleeves are extended to ensure wrists stay covered when arms are outstretched, and a new dropdown tail with unique map-reflect fabric improves low-light visibility.
“Whether you’re bike-commuting to work, heading out on an urban adventure, or enjoying an impromptu hike with friends, the Transit CC jacket will protect you from foul weather without sacrificing style,” says Jeremy Rider, PR Director for Showers Pass. “The Transit Jacket has a very loyal following. Customers come to us with jackets they’ve worn every day for so many years that they are held together with duct tape. We are excited to offer them something new to love.”
The Transit CC Jacket launches on Tuesday, September 10th and can be found at several major retailers: REI, MEC, Backcountry, and Moosejaw; as well as a network of independent bicycle dealers across the US, and online at www.showerspass.com.
